Dude! You’re back! (And your front, and your top, and your … uh, yeah.) Nice to see you again! (Hey, between my wi-fi router going wonky at random intervals, plus 3 weeks without an ISP due to our massive power outage a month ago and our technical folks being unable to walk and breathe at the same time, I haven’t heard from you in donkey’s years – however long THOSE are.)
To be honest, I have no idea who Mike Trout is. Then again, being raised with the constant background of the Cubs, I developed a VERY high resistance to baseball at a young age. But some very cool facts in there! 😀

Heya!!!! Yeah, I’ve been utterly sick of writing the past few months. Some stuff here and there but not a ton of inspiration. You should watch an Angels game just to see Mike Trout. All kidding aside, he’s amazing to watch.

But as a Cubs fan, you should know who STEVE Trout is!

“Mike”? Where the heck did I get Mike from? Guess that shows how far out of tune with baseball I am! (I’m not really a Cubs fan, I just constantly heard of their exploits from the Chicago Tribune and from WGN TV, which also played Star Trek. Now THAT, I will happily claim to be a fan of! 😀 )

Er… brain fart time. I meant to say I didn’t know who STEVE Trout is. Sorry, it’s been a bad headache day, with LOTSA Vicodin. Kiss the concentration goodbye, in other words.

Dude, by the way, I think it was Elliott Maddox, not Claudell Washington, who hit .400 with an artificial lung.

    • #7 by Keith Spillett on August 1, 2012 - 1:55 PM

Elliot Maddox is a poor man’s Lester Maddox.

      • #8 by Dave on August 1, 2012 - 4:59 PM

I’m not sure about that, but he’s definitely a poor man’s Greg Maddox. Hey, two Georgia-specific Maddox references. Zing!

Greg Maddox is a poor man’s Mike Maddox…..or maybe it’s the other way around.

Double word score on the Georgia to Georgia reference.

Thanks for bringing Trout to our attention, Keith. Few people know that Mike Trout is the only professional ballplayer whose height is precisely 6 feet, neither more nor less. Therefore I have sent a letter to our 7th Missouri District U.S. Congress Person, Billy Long, urging him to introduce legislation to have the U.S. Bureau of Weights and Measurements change the “fathom” to the “Trout”. This initiative is considered to have an excellent chance since Rep. Long has found virtually nothing else to do since he sponsored a bill to introduce a national auctioneer’s day. I think he’ll jump on this like a rooster on a june bug.

This Billy Long guy looks like a barrel of laughs. I live in Georgia, so outrageous, embarrassing behavior from politicians doesn’t really phase me all that much. That being said, from the looks of things, ole Billy should be able to at least get on the ballot for this year’s Hubert Humphrey Award for Political Hackery.

Like a rooster on a june bug!!! I love it!

I just passed through Hannibal, Missouri by the way. It reminds me a lot of Rome. Rome, Georgia actually.

    Sam Fuld of 2012??

Think more like the Mickey Mantle of 2014. He’s at a whole other level.

Thanks for making me a Trout fan. But are you sure it would take him two hours to get to Seattle? Men without rib cages move a lot faster than those saddled with unnecessary bones. But I heard that info on Fox & Friends, so it might not be factual.

    • #15 by Keith Spillett on August 1, 2012 - 2:03 PM

Fox and Friends is an award winning television show that offers Americans important information in a witty and upbeat way. Every night before I go to bed, I say a prayer of thanks that it exists.

Mike Trout is not the son of Steve Trout. They are in fact not related at all. Nice so called facts you have listed there!
